National
By Air
Canterbury is served by London Gatwick and London Heathrow airports. Gatwick is slightly closer than Heathrow, being just over an hours drive from Canterbury. If travelling by train from either airport the easiest route is via central london.
By Rail
Canterbury is served by two main line stations, both with direct links to London. Both Canterbury East and Canterbury West stations are within a few minutes walk of the city center with Canterbury West being the closest to the university. Trains to Canterbury are operated by Southeastern and National Rail Enquiries service provides a railway journey planner for the whole country. Taxis are available from outside both stations.
Canterbury East is served by London Victoria with a journey taking around 85 minutes. There are 2 trains per hour apart from Sunday when there is an hourly service. Canterbury West is served by London Charing Cross and London Victoria. All trains from Charing Cross also stop at London Waterloo East, while some also stop at London Bridge. There are 3 trains per hour on this service (2 from Charing cross and 1 from Victoria) and the journey takes between 85 and 105 minutes.

From the M25, the most direct route is via the M2/A2. However, if you are approaching Kent from the south section of the M25, then a route down the M25, M20, A249 then M2 is often the quickest.

By Road
When in Canterbury, from the central ring road, take the A290 Whitstable Road up St Thomas Hill. After just over 1 mile (1.6km) along the A290 the University entrance is on right (signposted) near the top of hill.
By Bus

On Campus
A campus map is available to download and print. Keynes college, the symposium venue, is marked as point N6. Parking on campus is heavily restricted and visitors must use the visitors car park at a cost of £2 per day. This is situated on Giles Lane, just a few minutes walk from Keynes college. The car park can be found in square D in the above campus plan, and is conspicuously sign posted when on campus.
